SOBE Trip and KitchenAid Mixer Giveaway

Who wears cowboy boots to Miami South Beach? Apparently I do. Somehow, in the flurry of packing for South Beach Food and Wine Festival, I neglected to bring beach-worthy attire. So while the rest of the South Beach go-ers looked fabulous in long, flow-y summer dresses (it’s always summer no matter what time of the year in Miami) with flip flops or sandlas, I was sweatin’ it in thick jeans and boots.

I brought Cheri with me, as sort of a girls getaway and also because she likes to drive (it’s a 4 hour haul and I really suck at driving). My buddies at KitchenAid got us SOBE Wine & Food Festival tickets and a hotel room right on the beach so that the moment we arrived, all we had to do was walk outside, sling on our wine glass holder necklace (hands free sipping!) and eat!

We got there just in time to see Rachael Ray do her thing, followed by one big food person after another. With so many chef celebs concentrated in one spot at the same time, I think the food universe might have wobbled a bit.

KitchenAid was one of the major sponsors of the SOBE Wine & Food Festival, and they stocked the demo kitchen that the celebrity chefs cook in!

Jaden, no reason to have been upset about the cowboy boots and no the flip flops. For many, many years Florida was not only orange growing country but also cowboy country. Inadvertently you paid homage to the past. Good going!
