Thank goodness I’m no surgeon

Had to do put in a few stitches to Coco’s favorite toy, the sock monkey.

We also have a new puppy and the SAME sock monkey. I’ve performed surgey once. My pup likes to chew off his eyes. Guess she doesn’t like to chew on it while it’s staring at her.

Oh, my … a head injury!

Haha, the sock monkey now looks like he (she?) is raising an eyebrow. Like he’s saying: “really? Are you serious about that?”

  4. I have performed numerous surgeries in the last 10 months since getting our pup. Now I can officially claim the ability to sew two things: buttons and dog toys.

  5. That’s a pretty bad-ass scar. Ladies love a good facial scar, you know.

  6. Yep, been there, done that. I have to wash Cocoa’s stuffed animals too because she gets them so funky dirty. I just keep telling myself it’s training for when I have children. Hee hee!

I perform surgery on Charley’s dog toys all the time! Cute pictures of Coco! She looks like she has settled in & is already part of the family! :)

  8. Me too – I have a terrier mix breed something or another and he is rough, rough on toys. I am constantly mending them. Hey, at least I remember how to thread a needle, right?! ;)

Oh man! So cute Jaden! I am not sure I could leave that adorable face next week for BlogHer like you have too! I miss the puppy age ;-)

SOOOOOO cute! I gave up trying to put togher my dog’s toys – cause 10 minutes later there was another hole :)

Same here, Delishhh. And add to it a 3 year old who thinks pulling things apart is fun and I truly feel like a toy surgeon.

  12. Ha ha! I’ve had to perform surgery on a few of our boxer’s favorite stuffed toys as well. We eventually just quit buying him anything with stuffing.

Aw, how cute! Looks like a stitched boo-boo. I’ve stitched up some of Chloe’s toys too.

    : )

Hate to be a “debbie downer” but please be careful giving children’s toys to your pup! My friend is a veterinarian and has had to perform quite a few surgeries on puppies who have ingested the fluffy stuffing and plastic eyes from stuffed animals.

Aw how adorable! That dog is too cute :)

I have a pile of stuffies needing surgery. My pup loves to just run around and squeak the toys, but every so often will get a bit carried away and go right through. I’m terrible at sewing but she’ll be one happy pup when I finally get to this!

  17. What a cute pair! I love how Coco has one eye half open keeping an eye on the monkey.
