It looks like a curling iron. It acts like a cross between a blowtorch and hairdyer, blowing a stream of hot air at 1,256°F to start a fire in as little as 15 seconds.

We have been using the Looftlighter for the past 3 weeks and absolutely love it. We have a Big Green Egg and normally use these little compact sawdust chips to ignite the charcoal, but the Looftlighter makes it so much easier.

* Simply plug the Looftlighter into a wall socket, and touch the nose of the lighter to your wood or coals. In about 15 seconds sparks will appear. At this point, withdraw the Looftlighter® by 3-6 inches, and continue heating the same spot. Before you know it, you will have a roaring fire.

I would love to have one of these. I love to cook on charcoal but I switched to gas because of the lighter fluid taste. With the Looftlighter I can go back to charcoal.

Would love to win one. Will definitely make BBQ setup quick and easy. Usually takes me an hour to light up the charcoal with paper, a liquid lighter, and a fan. The fan helped alot, but I believe this looftlighter would light up all the charcoal within minutes. A big time saver! 🙂 Enter me too! Thanks.
