First of all, I like Dave Lieberman, he’s a talented young chef, but…BUT poached shrimps gazpacho is NOT, in any way or form, a traditional Spanish dish. I’m from Spain and the thought of putting shrimps in gazpacho makes me feel sick. The combination of a heavy tomato based cocktail sauce and shrimps is something very American, we like our shrimps with mayonnaise sauce or salsa rosa. And Sangria is never made with white wine, that’s for tourists.
Anyhoo…nice of him to promote Spanish olive oil, heck! most imported Italians olive oils are Italian bottled of Spanish grown olive oil.
